LittleBigPlanet Quick Water Review
IN ONE SENTANCE:
It's cool, but the levels seem a bit cluttered...
A FEW MORE SENTANCES:
I've played all of the 5 levels. They are okay, not great. Definitely not the best series of levels by Media Molecule. They are very cluttered, and using two players through the levels is a bit tedious. A lot of glitches were caused by playing two player, such as cannons not shooting us with enough force, as well as a few other minor problems. There is a part, taking place on that wheel from the second Pirates movie, that is in one of the levels. This completely glitched and both of us were stuck running after it.
It's hard to find where you need to go in the levels, compared to the others, or even the Metal Gear Solid level pack. There are lots of arrows, but still... Sometimes it can get a bit wierd.
I experimented with the water tools which come with the kit, and they are relatively easy to use, very much like the global lighting controls which came with Creator Pack 1. The extra water tools were just as easy to use as well, such as the diving suit and water switch. Unfortunately existing levels might not easily work with the water, when I tried it my level went completely berserk and a good number of the switches decided to start running, and the level more or less fell apart. Funny though.
Overall, the levels were dissapointing, but the tools seem to work perfectly. Just wait a few more hours until the LittleBigPlanet community find some awesome way to glitch the water tool to make it work some mad way... Because they are good at that.
IN ONE WORD:
Decent.
